Here are pics from Walter, webmaster of www.citroneros.com.ar in Argentina.

Created in 1968 by the "Automovil Club del Uruguay", stopped in 1981, this race came back in 2004 under regularity mode. The eligible cars were the brand models which took part on the "real" rally beetween 1968 and 1981 and the Monte-Carlo rally.

No instrument further than the ones of the original model can be added to the cars. The only instrument allowed to add il a RPM of no more than 15 cm in diameter and a scale of no less than 6 500 rpm. Of course, GPS aren't allowed.

The number or cars inscreases every year. Nearly half of the participants came from Argentina, others came from Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Spain

This race had five stages from Montevideo and return after 2 390 km.

Look carefully, you can see lot of europeans cars. We are begining with these DS 21 who got difficulties to finish.

Fiat too, it's logical because Fiat is in Argentina Argentina since 1960 and in Chile since 1962. Here is a development of the Fiat 600 by Abarth to do this 850 TC built in 1961.

Fiat 1 500 built by the Fiat Concord company in Argentina from march 1963 to 1972 for more than 108 000 copies.

A Peugeot 404 built by Safran, Peugeot company in Argentina. Firm who disapeared in 1980 to create Sevel after the merging with Fiat Concord. In 1996 Peugeot was taken alone the leadership.
